Helping Hands Ministry
"As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." ~ 1 Peter 4:10
Our Helping Hands ministry seeks to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Recently, we have delivered food, clothing, nappies, and necessities to new mothers at Dora Nginza Hospital. It's an amazing opportunity for our church to bless those around us who need help the most.
Soup Kitchen
"My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth." ~ 1 John 3:18
We take the opportunity to serve food to the young children in our area. We open the soup kitchen in the Walmer Location, doing our best to live out the Great Commission.
Holiday Clubs
"...Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." ~ Matt 18:3b
At Solid Rock, we host one-hour services for the kids on school holidays.
MES (Mould, Empower, Serve) Service
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." ~ Matt 11:28
Solid Rock hosts an afternoon service at MES each week. This home is a place for those with addictions to receive needed help physically and spiritually.
Medical Outreach
"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." ~ Job 12:12b
Our Nursing Sister, Hannah Bennett, spearheads our medical outreach program. We have successfully done blood sugar and blood pressure checks. Hannah also teaches Basic Life Support, CPR, and other classes to those needing specific certifications.
Youth Club
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." ~ Prov 22:6
Friday Night Youth Club is an evening set aside strictly for young people (ages 5-18). We enjoy games, songs, and Bible lessons. The service takes place at 6:00pm on Fridays at the church.
Wednesday Bible Study
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." ~ Matt 18:20
Each Wednesday we gather around a warm cup of coffee (or tea) to dig deeper into God's Word. We meet each Wednesday at 7:00pm, we would love to have you join.
Bible Distribution
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit," ~ Heb 4:12a
Since January 2023, we have been able to distribute over 200 Bibles to those wanting to read God's Word and grow in a relationship with Him.
